Melanocyte Growth Medium 500ml

Melanocyte Growth Medium is a PMA (Phorbol Myristate Acetate)-containing medium and has been developed for the in vitro cultivation of juvenile melanocytes. Since PMA is a tumor promoting mitogen, it may interfere with some experimental approaches. In these cases, we recommend using the PMA-free Melanocyte Growth Medium M3.

Although all media are optimized for use with primary human cells, there is received feedback from customers that this particular medium can also be used for equine, porcine, murine, and rat melanocytes. View a list of references where this medium was used with other species and cell types.

• SupplementMix: Contains all media supplements premixed in one vial

Note: While the supplements of the Melanocyte Growth Medium are serum-free, the Basal Medium is manufactured with 0.2% serum.
